Nos volvemos a encontrar en LOOM con Curabitur Conferencias con esta maravillosa charla en la cual nos introduciremos en el interesante mundo de una de las figuras más sobresalientes de la Inglaterra victoriana, William Morris,que, en la segunda mitad del s. XIX, se rebeló contra una industrialización feroz, que supuso el abandono de las labores artesanales.
Diseñador, artesano, tejedor, escritor, y posteriormente reconocido como el máximo representante del movimiento Arts and Crafts, propugnaba por lavuelta a los oficios manuales, la satisfacción en el trabajo, el respeto por los materiales, la protección del legado artístico y contra el consumismo exagerado.
Curábitur Conferencias es un proyecto, integrado por Isabel Pascual Ruiz de Alegría y Juan Castillo Vega, a través del cual quieren hacer llegar su forma de entender el arte, la ciencia, la historia de la mujer…

We meet again in LOOM with Curabitur Conferences with this wonderful talk in which we will be introduced into the interesting world of one of the most outstanding figures of Victorian England, William Morris, who, in the second half of the nineteenth century, rebelled against a fierce industrialization, which led to the abandonment of craftsmanship.
Designer, craftsman, weaver, writer, and later recognized as the leading representative of the Arts and Crafts movement, he advocated a return to manual trades, satisfaction in work, respect for materials, protection of the artistic legacy and against exaggerated consumerism.
Curábitur Conferencias is a project integrated by Isabel Pascual Ruiz de Alegría and Juan Castillo Vega, who form this project with which they want to spread their way of understanding art, science, women’s history… how? Through informative conferences that seek to educate, inform, entertain and open new visions of the world around us.
