En esta conferencia de una hora aproximada de duración, analizaremos, además del origen del carnaval, los disfraces y máscaras más emblemáticos, así como la influencia que ha ejercido sobre diferentes manifestaciones artísticas relativas a las artes decorativas (porcelana, joyas, mobiliario…) pero también en la escultura, música, danza, manifestaciones artísticas populares, etc.
Sin embargo, la pintura ha sido la manifestación artística que más influencia ha recibido del carnaval a lo largo de la edad moderna y contemporánea. Pintores como Manet, Brueghel el Viejo, Watteau, Nattier, Guardi, Tiépolo, Goya, y muchos más han representado el carnaval en sus obras.

«Somos Isabel Pascual Ruiz de Alegría y Juan Francisco Castillo Vega, juntos formamos el proyecto Curábitur, con el que queremos hacer llegar nuestra forma de entender el arte, el diseño, la ciencia, la historia de la mujer… ¿cómo? a través de conferencias de carácter divulgativo que buscan formar, informar, entretener y abrir paso a nuevas visiones del mundo que nos rodea.

Do you like carnival? We invite you to join this wonderful conference where you will learn about its origin and influence on art for free in one of our wonderful LOOM spaces.
In this lecture of approximately one hour, we will analyze, in addition to the origin of the carnival, the most emblematic costumes and masks, as well as the influence it has exerted on different artistic manifestations related to the decorative arts (porcelain, jewelry, furniture …) but also in sculpture, music, dance, popular artistic manifestations, etc..
