February is International Film Month, and at Loom we want to celebrate it by opening the doors of our wonderful spaces.
In this event, guided by a specialist, we will enjoy an introduction to the work of Pedro Almodóvar and its context: the Movida Madrileña, the city of Madrid as a setting, and the international projection of Spanish cinema thanks to his work. Historical facts will be combined with educational insights, aesthetic aspects and various curiosities.
About the speaker
Néstor Muñoz Torrecilla: (1996) is a PhD candidate in Audiovisual Communication, Advertising and Public Relations at the Complutense University of Madrid. He belongs to the established research group Gender, Aesthetics and Audiovisual Culture, where he is developing his doctoral thesis within Age Studies focused on the filmography of Pedro Almodóvar. Other research lines include cinema, television series, pop culture and media. In addition, he is also a professional in the sector as a content creator, photographer and community manager.
What will you take away from this event?
