LOOM spaces in Barcelona now total 11,000 m2.
Madrid, 4 June 2024. LOOM, MERLIN Properties’ flexible office division, continues to grow in Barcelona with the expansion of its LOOM Plaza Catalunya coworking space through a new 950 m2 floor.
The new LOOM space, on the fourth floor of the historic building at Plaza Catalunya 9, has 78 workstations and privileged views over the iconic square. In addition, its users will enjoy generous space per workstation and more than 180 m2 dedicated to common areas and relaxation zones.
Following this expansion, LOOM now has more than 28,000 m2 of flexible offices across Spain.

An award-winning space by the Architizer A+ Awards
Last year, LOOM and the architecture studio SCOB received the prestigious Popular Choice A+ Award 2023 for their LOOM Plaza Catalunya project, in the category of Best International Coworking Space.
LOOM, together with SCOB, carried out a comprehensive refurbishment of the space, originally designed by the renowned architect Puig i Cadafalch at the beginning of the 20th century, combining tradition and avant-garde in a space full of light and openness, with an elegant and contemporary design that creates a truly unique flexible office.

LOOM keeps growing
LOOM currently has 12 spaces across Madrid and Barcelona. In addition, this autumn, the largest flexible office space in Spain will open in Madrid’s AZCA district. LOOM Azca, located in the renovated Ruiz Picasso 11 building, will occupy nearly 9,000 square metres across three floors. This new LOOM will also feature a special area for large-format events, through which it will continue to drive its LOOM Events subsidiary.
