LOOM expands its emblematic coworking space in Plaza Catalunya with a new 950 m2 floor

LOOM spaces in Barcelona amount to 11,000 m2.

Madrid, 4 June 2024. LOOM, the flexible office division of MERLIN Properties, continues to grow in   Barcelona with the expansion of its LOOM Plaza Catalunya coworking space with a new 950 sqm floor.

The new LOOM space, on the fourth floor of the historic building at Plaza Catalunya 9, has 78 workstations and privileged views over the emblematic square. In addition, its users will enjoy ample space per workstation and more than 180 m2 of common areas and relaxation areas.

After this expansion, LOOM now has more than 28,000m2 of flexible office space throughout Spain.

A space awarded by Architizer A+ Awards

Last year LOOM and the SCOB architecture studio won the prestigious Popular Choice A+ Award 2023 for their LOOM Plaza Catalunya project, in the category of best international coworking.

LOOM, together with SCOB, carried out a complete refurbishment of the space, originally designed by the well-known architect Puig i Cadafalch at the beginning of the 20th century, combining tradition and the avant-garde, in a space brimming with light and space, with an elegant and contemporary design that forms a unique flexible office.

 

LOOM continues to grow

LOOM currently has 12 spaces in Madrid and Barcelona. In addition, it will open the largest flexible office space in Spain this autumn in Madrid’s AZCA district. LOOM Azca, located in the renovated Ruiz Picasso 11 building, will occupy nearly 9,000 square metres on three floors. This new LOOM will also be equipped with a special area for large-format events, with which it will continue to promote its subsidiary LOOM Events.
