Success Stories: This is how our first meeting went, connecting inspiration and entrepreneurship at LOOM Salamanca

We held the first edition of Success Stories: The Entrepreneur’s Journey at LOOM Salamanca, a space we created together with Morgan Philips to share real experiences and lessons from the entrepreneurial world.

Four founders with very different projects, but plenty of passion and many stories to tell, joined us:

  • Alberto Velarde (East Crema Coffee)
  • Carlos Serra (Scotta)
  • Isabel Llorens (Rusticae)
  • Juan Antonio de la Rica (Juancho’s BBQ)

In a relaxed atmosphere, they spoke candidly about challenges, difficult decisions, mistakes, and also those small victories that motivate you to keep moving forward.

Juan Antonio reminded us that “sometimes you have to go against the Excel spreadsheet and follow your instinct”. Alberto spoke about the current uncertainty: “we can’t plan beyond 3–6 months, but you always have to think about the next step”. Carlos highlighted the importance of technology in being efficient and taking care of the customer.

Isabel focused on authenticity: “Our value lies in returning to what is authentic and taking care of the customer”. For Alfredo Santos, Managing Director of Morgan Philips Spain and moderator, it was an enriching event that showed that passion and collaboration are key to success.

For her part, Maite Acinas, Marketing Director at LOOM, pointed out that “in marketing, we seek to design almost tailor-made experiences. We can design personalised customer journeys based on innovation and data, but interestingly, the more layers of technology we implement, the more human closeness is valued”.

This event is only the beginning of a series of LOOM events that seek to boost talent, innovation and new ways of working. And if there was one thing this first edition of Success Stories made clear, it is that entrepreneurship is a journey worth taking… especially if you do it surrounded by good company.
